dear loving brothers, i happened to read both the positive and negative comments you have posted. i am greatful to all of you for both the positive and negative comments. those of who wrote positive comments, thank you, but i humbly request you to help me to exalt the name of jesus christ, the name above all names and not myself. i don't honestly deserve any of these comments. i did only little for the glory of god with the resources god entrusted to me. think about the great men of god and the martyrs of christ who paid a huge prize for propagation of god's kingdom. even apostle paul said," i am the least among the apostle". i haven't done much. the best thing you can do more than the comments, please pray for me and my family to be a faithul, true, sincere and pure disciple of christ to fulfill the task he has entrusted to me. those who wrote critically and negatively, i took your comments positively, so that i can humble myself to do god's will in my life with integrity and

First, congratulation to Sam George and thank you for all your help in our state.
But why are people trying to please Sam george with flattering comments? Are they afraid that he will leave Karnataka and there will be no fund?
Does not the Bible say it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man?
Then why you people trying hard to give him comments making him some one as very holy.
If God provided sam george for now, the same God will provide someone else when he leaves.

As far as i know Pr. sam george is a simple servant of God,He has proved his god given abilities in Karnataka state. this new position will be able to serve Lord more. He deserved the post of Joint Secretatary of IPC. We need person like this to come in to executive posts to save IPC.

contd:- 2 " heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:who can know it" jer 17:9. when a minister who was suffering financial struggles, i took extra pain to entertain them when they came to visit. but, most of them, after finding an easy route to the green pastures, they have a different focusing and mindset. some of them make a decision to visit the u.s. on a regular basis, spending weeks in one city and enjoy long vacation. if we call them in india, they all act like too busy in evangelization-fasting-healing ministry-social service etc. these too busy buddies in the miistry, how they can spend weeks in one city without doing anything? is it a ministry or vacation? for every person who is called by god for the ministry, god will provide. but, for many ministers from india, they hand over the ministry to somebody, and they take the new ministry of "overseas visitation in fund raising and prolonged vacations".

dear brother thepraize: in my missionary trip to india in 2005 february, the weather in north india was cold, never expected that kind of cold weather. never in life slept in surroundings like that with extreme cold weather, but it was a great joy to suffer for the kingdom of god. it was very surprsing to meet some people i knews for years, and they used to write to me as if they were living in a hut and crying everyday looking to heaven like prophet elijah did at the time of famine, but when i met them in their homes, they were living comfortably like in the rank of a well-paid indian civil servant. but, among these comfortable zone living ministers, i saw suffering ministers too. when these suffering ministers get a chance to visit the gulf countries of the western world, i am very happy that god is going to bless them with the necessary supplies and rewarding them for their suffering for the cross.

in 1 corinthians paul deals with eleven problems among which first one is the division and it is the root cause of all the other problems in the church in corinth. hence, dealing with all these problems, the apostle's ax first touches the root, that is, the division among them. paul goes on to say, “now i mean this, that each of you says, i am of paul, and i am of apollos, and i of cephas, and i am of christ.” in principle when we cast an vote for someone it is just the same as saying i am of "valsan",i am of "john",i am of "philip", "baby", or "joseph", and so on. dividing the body of christ like this is a very serious problem. the world can have politics but the church cannot have it. because the church is an organic body which cannot be divided at any cost. apostle paul wanted to condemn corinthians for their attitude whereas in pentecostalism today the so called leaders are promoting this dirty politics with in the believers!! see how wretched is the situation!!

Dear Thomasvemmelil: Those people contesting for the top seats in the denominational hierarchy are equally qualified in their academic accomplishments as well as in popularity of the ministry, great credentials! In politicl contest, the leaders are flexible but in the religious election, nobody will give an inch until they re-capture the permanent seat. I did watch with respect towards both candidates in our Panchayat election, the opposing candiates, Hindu and Christian candidates came into an agreement that one term would be given to the Hindu and the Christian will get the next term. This is worldy election in which such flexibility and amicability are openly displayed, whereas in the Church elections, why these top ranking candiates with their birthright in leadership can't workout an amicable plan through Christian love? We see nothing but total egotism and selfishness in these elections, not any Christian love.

@ Dulos, the reason this one person is elected without contest is his leadership qualities without any selfish motive and his service to the Kingdom of God alone. This is an accepted fact in IPC. So no one is ready to face sure defeat if they contest against a candidate who has good and credible qualities as a leader. No need of research but the proven fact. He proved it through his ministry and service especially in Karnataka. Also agree with SP Kumbanad, our leader Pastor Sam George has a record of selfish and sincere work from local church level. He also work hard to make money to support ministry. He is not the other leaders who raise funds for ministry and deposit in their personal or children's account and lead a lavish and luxurious life. We love and appreciate Pastor Sam George for his commitment because he proved it through his life. He always preach the Gospel and not about him. Always lifts up Christ and His word and no self exaltation or his positions.

Today's Pentecostalism is altogether an organisation. Positions and offices in Pentecostalism are decided by elections. Pastors today are often hired and fired or transferred. However,nothing in an organic body can be elected, hired, fired or transferred. Our arms are not placed on our bodies by an election, nor can an old or weak arm be hired or fired. Elections, hiring,firing and transferring are inorganic tools of human organisation. There should be no elections, hiring, firing or transferring in the church, because the church is altogether an organism, not an organisation. All these rubbish happen only in Babylon not in the Body of Christ. In God's administration we are His "elects" and no need to have elections again.

those who are mentioning their positions, please put all your positions, degrees, past positions,current employment etc.. are we pentecostal malayalees so addicted to positions and then to mention it everywhere.(even at funeral services..). so sad to say this. do some thing to empower your local church and then go for higher levels. Jesus said, first work in Jerusalem, then go to other places. its a tragedy that we are so self praisers and position showers..so sad. so sad..cry my brethren...cry for these people..

first of all let me congragulate pr. sam george for his new responsibility.he is a man of vision & mission.because of his commitment, hardwork & encouragement to co-workers,with in 3 years the number of churches in karnataka increased from 150-450+.among many other ipc leaders he is different in his character.he is having a clear vision to reform ipc from its spiritual decay.for that he is ready to go grassroot level to encourage pastors & believers.i hope ipc believers & pastors realised his good intentions, that is why he is the only one elected as unopposed.let the almighty god use him as a mighty weapon in this generation. i wish him all success.

@asm good to hear some very relevant points on visitation ministry and ministers, even though i am yet to comprehend and visualise the results, i have never heard or seen a single soul been saved by the ministry of a visiting pastor, i am not including our friends from other christian community changing to pentecostal movement,that been said this is a good money spinner for smart people,they get to experience extended vacation in this country all paid with dividends too.Cross is the last thought in the minds of these men. All that we could do is create awareness among friends and families of these imposters. Our dear friend JC would agree that there is high degree of commerce involved into the business of religion,specifically Pentecost, i am not aware of activities of such degree and intensity among the other people groups.And lastly everything sells in the name of God,meaning are we such a deprived society,failing to test the real and the surreal. This reminds me of an incident in the book of Acts 12 about the king Herod whose country was rich and supplied food to Tyre and Sidon, the people there were afraid of Herod. They were concerned that their supply of food would be cut off, and they did something to please Herod." And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost." In this case what wrong did the King Herod do? He supplied food to the poor people of Tyre and Sidon and about which he made only a public speech. Is that too wrong for a *** penalty? Then why God punished him so cruelly? Because the populace gave all glory and honour to a man and not to God...they were concerned that their supply of food would be cut off!!!

We must pray very earnestly to find the right person and ministry to invest the money. i do love and respect the real servants of god in all denominations. the first word "cross" is mentioned in the new testament, mathew 10:38 sways " and he who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me". this cross bearing is a strange calling for the vast majority of the ministers in all denominations. two of the best professions to hoard money without much education and zero investment are "politics" and religion. when sai baba died, he had over 95 crores worth wealth in gold-watches-cash-diamonds etc. when we meet the ministers of the gospel with their big story of ministry, we are motivated to help them, but the money is diverted to their own pockets and hoarding for their children. is that cross bearing ministry? the number of people landing in the u.s. for conference is very surprising. after the conference (what they learn at the conference?)they will be visiting friends and churches to collect money.

Brother SP, Kumbanadu, as for as we know Pastor Sam George has no trust or organisation of his own. He is not asking or raising money or funds from anybody. He worked and gave money for God's work without any return from man. Now he is selling his properties and spending that money for soul's conversation and propagtion of Go'd kingdom. We know anywhere he goes and does ministry, he is not even spending travel expenses from his pocket including international tickets. He also told us in Karnataka not to write his name anywhere in Karnanata as a memory because he said he wants something in eternity not the favor of man. He is such a dedicated leader with a high vision. May God use him more powerfully in the coming days!!!!!!

Sam George maybe a great person and great leader for Karnataka region. But i am still trying figuring out why he has to join the dirty politician's group of IPC General Council. He would have been better off concentrating in the Karnataka work.

brother sujin, bangalore: thank you so deeply for your kind response. at times, my comments may sound like too harsh, but i am writing with a clear purpose and burden to draw the attention of the believers of all denominaions, that we must return to the word of god in the denominational election process. the way of the cross is totally alien to the modern leadership, but thank god for the few who are walking straight in the path of calvary. i do believe that god's children must be blessed, but totally against the anti-scriptural "positive thinking and prosperity gospel". god wants us to be blessed and be of positive thinkers, but the gospel of jesus christ is entirely different and that divine message of redemption from above, which is far above than the positive thinking and prosperity gospel. i have been profoundly wounded by watching the totally dirty and gruesome election process in the kerala churches around the world,

As for as we know ( Karnataka ), he did not ask any one to back of from being the general joint secretary and we challenge any one to prove otherwise. He could have lived in US. But he lives most of his time in India and spending many days in Karnataka villages as one of the villager. He never expects any return from any body. He spends cheerfully and sacrificially. As for as we know ( Karnataka ), he did not ask any one to back of from being the general joint secretary and we challenge any one to prove otherwise. He could have lived in US. But he lives most of his time in India and spending many days in Karnataka villages as one of the villager. He never expects any return from any body. He spends cheerfully and sacrificially.
